Jenera Healy Photos

I have had my camera for about 9 months but I am a little behind in really learning all the tricks and settings to the thing.  I kind of fell into photography so all the lingo is literally Greek to me.  I am learning slowly but surely.

I recently figured out how to set my camera to monochrome.  I was instantly in love!  I love the look of black and white photos but I was not impressed with how my editing software made the transition.  Since I hate to use the software except for cropping, I was looking for ways to get the crisp look of the monochrome.

Once I figured out how to do it, I went crazy-I’m still going a bit nuts with it.  When I take most pictures, I will do two sets.  I will take full color and then a few shots of monochrome.

Admittedly, the lighting on this shot is not so great and it’s kind of a boring subject.  But this was literally my first shot using the monochrome setting.  It was taken sitting at my desk late, late at night.  There is a certain moodiness to the shot that I love.
