It’s Official! A Wedding Job
A couple weeks ago, my husband’s cousin proposed to his girlfriend. I was wondering whether I’d be asked to do the photos. Well, I have been officially hired to do their engagement photos-which will be going out with their invitations-as well as the photos of the wedding and reception.
It looks like I’ll be doing the first round of photos the first part of May and then the wedding is going to be in July. At least that was the time frame this afternoon. It will probably change a few times!
I’m excited, nervous, terrified, EXCITED!! all at the same time. This is huge! She told me that there wasn’t even a question about me doing them, they wanted me to. It will be a busy time for me but what great exposure and practice.
I have been hesitant in doing wedding photos because you all know what an undertaking that is. But it could be a huge opportunity for widening my customer base. Plus, she is so stinkin‘ sweet that I know she won’t kill me if it’s not perfect.
We’ll see how the next few months go and the preparations. I think I’m also being recruited to help plan the dang thing. Which isn’t so good because I didn’t have a wedding so I have no idea how these things go.
It is so exciting to see my business already growing and I’m learning so much!
Congratulations on getting the engagement/wedding photo gig! That IS huge. I hope they let you post a pic or two here so we can see.
